Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026.
Arcane Valors is a reading site. It has no accounts, no logins and no shopping basket, so there is very little data to collect and this policy is short on purpose.
What we collect
Basic analytics. We look at aggregate traffic — which pages are read, roughly where readers come from at country level, and what kind of device they use — so we know which categories are worth expanding. This is counted in aggregate. We do not build profiles of individual readers and we do not attempt to identify anyone.
Email you send us. If you write to the contact address, we keep your message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with it, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case the thread continues.
A mailing list, if you join one. Where the site offers an email update, the only thing stored is the address you give and the date you gave it. Nothing else is required and nothing else is asked.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not run advertising networks on this site, and we do not share your email address with hotels, agencies or anyone else. There is no third party buying access to our readers.
Cookies
The site itself does not need cookies to work. Any that appear come from the analytics tool described above, and they are used for counting visits, not for advertising.
Being removed
Write to editor@arcanevalors.com and ask. If you are on a mailing list you will be taken off it; if you want the correspondence we hold from you deleted, say so and it will be deleted. You do not have to explain why, and there is no retention argument at the other end.
Links out
Where we link to a hotel's own site, that site has its own policy and its own tracking. Once you leave Arcane Valors, what happens is between you and them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described in plain language rather than buried.
